Oh hi there,

My name is Barnaby and for over ten years I’ve worked in Digital Marketing. Cutting my teeth in hybrid roles, I have developed a number of strings to my professional bow:

Digital & Traditional Marketing: Mediums I know well include digital advertising on platforms such as Google AdWords and Facebook, websites, CRMs, social media, events, emails, direct mail, media releases and print. I believe that marketing is not a function, it is the whole business seen from a customer’s point of view. I also believe that marketing is not pushing messages, but creating useful content. I love applying these philosophies to every aspect of my work, be it a well written email headline or a million-dollar integrated campaign. Combine them with a good idea and you get some pretty effective marketing solutions.

People Management: An experienced people manager, I’m a big believer in autonomy as a motivational tool. This means I try to focus on setting the strategic direction, deadlines, and benchmarks and then empower the team to determine how best to accomplish the job. So far so good.

Project Management: Ideas and philosophies will only get you so far, it’s equally important to be able to make them happen. Being well acquainted with the Gantt chart, I’m quite good at getting stuff done. My speciality is project managing website builds or large scale integrations. I’ve also managed events, advertising campaigns and large scale content-creation.

Creative Strategy: Finding solutions to problems (or briefs, as the industry calls them) is my forte. Nothing excites me more than a business objective to achieve, a blank whiteboard, and a steaming hot double-shot flat white to go.

Copywriting & Content Creation: Generally passionate about words, I’ve been told I know my way around a sentence. I’m also a stickler for correct grammar. So you won’t catch me confusing their, there or they’re. Nuh-huh.
